Bill Print & Dispatch Energy Expert (6 Month FTC)

About The Role

You’ll be working within our Billing department as part of the Billing Print & Dispatch team, with the main objective of ensuring all documents are printed on time and unbilled accounts are recognised and managed. The Billing Print & Dispatch Expert will be responsible for the planning of the production of timely and accurate bills, print and mail fulfilment.

You will also be completing reactive and proactive work through phone, system and email channels. You will ensure quality of service is always maintained. Your focus will be on accuracy, timely resolution, improving the customer experience and revenue loss reduction.

You will have specific targets and KPI’s to be met in line with the company vision which will be key to your personal development.

What you will do

  •  Run mass billing jobs in our billing system and quality check them for any errors
  •  Print, pack and post mass and ad hoc documents from all areas of the business
  •  Ensure correct bill format is produced based on customer requirements (Large Print, Braille. Talking Bills)
  •  Quality check packing to ensure efficient dispatch of documents
  •  Continually seek ways to reduce print and postage costs, and improve processes
  •  Reconcile expected and actual print output daily
  • Process and track Returned Mail in a timely manner
  • Adhere to all relevant GDPR and Data Protection policies at all times
  • Timely identification and escalation of any issues, problems and concerns through the agreed channels
  • Support in the development of production plans for all work entering the billing system, considering volume, priority and value
  • Liaise with multiple parties (e.g. internal agents and external providers) to identify, analyse and resolve issues relating to bill production and validation
  • Liaise with third parties to ensure appropriate stock and maintenance of anything required to print and dispatch documents
  • Take ownership of bill inputs and validation in accordance with regulatory and company compliancy standards while keeping customer satisfaction at the core of every decision
  • Help to accurately bill all customers, specifically focusing on unbilled losses and implausible reads

About You

You’ll have experience in delivering great customer service to a high standard. You can follow straight forward processes and procedures within appropriate deadlines. You are organised and can manage your own workload.

As an individual you’ll be driven by targets and look at the detail ensuring minimal mistakes are made. You’ll be constantly looking for ways we can improve efficiencies, and reduce our paper usage, whilst showing passion and enthusiasm for a greener Britain.

You will work with the Team Leader to identify and implement ideas and improvements to continually enhance the service provided to customers

About Us

Ecotricity is Britain’s greenest energy company. When we started back in 1995, we were the first company in the world to supply a new kind of electricity – the green kind.

Our mission was and remains to change the way energy is made and used in Britain – by replacing fossil fuels with clean, renewable energy.  

We don’t just supply green energy, we use the money from our customers’ bills to make it ourselves too – we build windmills and sun parks in Britain. We call this ‘bills into mills’. In 2021, we’re starting work on building two new solar parks, and in 2022 we’re bringing geothermal energy to our customers’ fuel mix, a first in the UK. We’re also developing green gas mills which will generate 100% green gas from a source that will never run out – grass.
