We do an awful lot in the Trading team at Ecotricity. As well as purchasing all of the electricity, gas and renewable certificates for all customers, we are the team that is responsible for all of the customer pricing, forecasting, and cost/profitability analysis.
We love numbers, complex systems, and working out amazing ways to analyse data, use it, and share it in insightful ways. It would be fair to say that we are often at the cutting edge of a forward thinking energy company, and are constantly developing, adapting, and finding new ways of doing things.
For the right candidate, this role represents a unique opportunity to be part of a growing team in a fast paced and highly challenging environment.
Overall Description of Duties
An exciting role in the Trading team as part of the Pricing & Commercial Function, the role is ultimately here to help ensure we are accurately reflecting and forecasting costs that make up a customer’s bill into a wide array of our systems, used for pricing and profitability purposes. An interesting mix of administration and developmental tasks, as well as projects to improve costs, and improve how we look at and utilise data within the team.
A core part of this role is to manage all non-wholesale costs which form a part of all customer bills, along with working closely with other team members to aid their reporting through a business intelligence solution.
It’s an incredibly varied job, having to handle some operational work as well as short and long term development functions that cross over into all aspects of the trading teams, and into an array of other departments in the company.
