This is an exciting role at Britain’s Greenest Energy Company, managing content over social media channels including Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube and TikTok. You will proactively lead on organic content for our channels, thinking outside the box to create emotive and engaging content which aligns with our mission. You’ll be part of our Content team, working in organised sprints alongside our copywriter, designer and videographer to build and enhance our social media presence. You will also work with the wider Marketing team and lots of different areas of the business, driving leads and opportunity for B2B and B2C.
This role offers scope to work with some of our highly valued partners including RSPB, Friends of the Earth and The Green Party, supporting their campaigns and seeking opportunities to engage with our partners and their followers.
The scope of work ranges from the strategic (making plans on the best way to raise our company profile on social, as well as doing the same for our leadership team) to the operational (creating, monitoring and sometimes responding to posts on a daily / weekly basis).
What you will do
- Alongside the Content Manager, define and develop the social media strategy, focussing on key platforms: Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn and TikTok – and liaise closely with the other Marketing channels to ensure uniform messaging and aesthetics
- Drive both domestic and business leads to the business through engaging and compelling content, measuring success through website click throughs, engagement and data collection
- Work closely with the Contact Centre to ensure strong communication via the CC team across all channels including updating them on campaigns, upcoming engaging content, template responses and response/platform training, helping them to respond to queries received via social media where appropriate
- Manage the production, delivery and implementation of integrated social media strategy which supports the businesses lead generation targets for domestic and business
- Deliver social activity to support campaigns across multiple social media platforms to drive awareness, new leads and brand engagement
- Manage day-to-day activity over social media channels, including scheduling on Falcon and reacting to paid advertising comments
- Monitor and report on performance of social media communications, including accurate reporting on lead generation
- Liaise and manage relationships with external stakeholders including business customers, domestic customers, influencers and Ecotricity partners to produce emotive content
- Contribute to wider Ecotricity B2B / B2C campaigns and content plans, updating regularly and reporting back to the wider Growth Team
