E learning Content Designer

About The Role

The trainer will design, create and lead training sessions to help bring our business transformation plans to life. We are looking for someone who is creative, passionate and engaging who has the ability to both think tactically and strategic to help us achieve our goals.

Working within our Customer Service team, input into our strategy for a blended learning approach. Working with key stakeholders to promote the development and use of best practice learning techniques, with a strong emphasis on e-learning, - ensuring the core business curriculum is fully embedded across the cohort in time for project completion, and is fit-for-purpose in the beyond.

You will work closely with our Technology and Transformation team to understand the technical changes we’ll be undergoing, and design engaging training to train our people as we deliver these transformations of our core systems and processes. In line with this, you will support the Training Lead in the implementation of a new e-learning system, a key component of a transformational programme of change taking place.

You’ll need to have previous experience of creating e-learning content end-to-end; from creation, through publishing, to reporting and evaluation. Having experience of Kirkpatrick evaluation techniques would be advantageous.

You’ll have experience implementing new programs in the context of cultural change, and feel comfortable with challenging the norm to ensure we are adopting the best solution for our people and our customers.

You’ll have exceptional stakeholder management skills, with experience of developing and maintaining strong relationships with people at all levels.

First class communication verbal and written skills are essential; you’ll need the ability to adapt your style to your audience in order to engage with people at all levels across the wider business to achieve goals and objectives.

The role will be fast-paced and we’re looking for someone who can keep up!  You’ll need to be able to work quickly and pro-actively, without needing frequent direction, with courage of conviction in what you’re doing.  Strong time management and self-organising skills will be critical in this role.

What will you do?

  • Support the customer service department through whole-scale system and organisational transformation by designing and delivering training to meet the needs of the business at this important time.
  • Design and create engaging micro-learning for the customer service department
  • Create variety of interactions, branching scenarios and solutions to best suit the content
  • Design and deliver customer focused soft skills course to compliment e-learning offerings
  • Work with various SMEs, trainers and other experts, in the continued development of the company vision of maximising e-learning where possible.
  • Support the overall e-learning process, including: design, production, delivery, evaluation, and scheduling.
  • Evaluate and review content and refresh when required
  • Upload content and maintain ILT and e-learning courses/programmes within the LMS
  • First line support for LMS queries and be an ambassador for the adoption of the new system


    Skills and experience:


  • Extensive experience of planning, preparing and delivering training to maximise participation and learning experiences, ideally within a customer services environment.
  • Experience of developing soft skills programmes with a keen focus on always having the customer at the heart.
  • Creation of training programmes from inception to completion.
  • Experience in full e-learning development process.
  • Experience of technical, design, and media issues.
  • Knowledge of the fundamentals of WBT instructional design.
  • Knowledge and experience of creating dynamic process and system training (Including Adobe Captivate & Articulate Story line -360 + Rise)
  • Good persuasion skills.
  • Experience working with e-learning and blended learning programs, web-based training development, and asynchronous learning content.
  • The ability to engage with Directors and Managers at all levels across the wider business to achieve goals and objectives
  • Exceptional time and self-organisation skills.
