Sales Performance Coach

About The Role

We are looking for a Sales Performance Coach to join our award winning Business SME & Domestic sales team.

With an established, yet rapidly expanding customer base, we have a great product to sell to those who know we do the right thing as well as helping others who are ready to make their energy and sustainability impact.

The Sales Performance Coach is a key role in the growth team and is responsible for a range of activities focused on just that, growing the business!

You will work to maximise the conversion of Ecotricity sales opportunities through the continual development and enhancement of the skills of the individuals responsible for selling Ecotricity products and services across both the domestic and business teams. 

About You

You will be a supportive trainer, coach or manager with experience of both B2B and B2C telephone sales environments. You will understand the key principles of selling the Ecotricity value proposition and the skill set to articulate this in an efficient and engaging manner to individuals with a wide variety of experience and skill levels.

Core Responsibilities

  • Ownership of the continual professional development of the Ecotricity B2B and B2C teams.
  • Complete ongoing individual training needs assessments to identify areas of improvement.
  • Plan, implement and deliver induction training and coaching to new team members.
  • Create reports to help analyse, interpret and present information relating to sales performance by individual to the sales management team.
  • Fully understand and highlight compliance breaches and present effective solutions to issues.
  • Identify knowledge and skill gaps, implementing 1-1 or group training sessions to improve the overall performance of the sales teams.
  • Manage the sales quality framework and ensure full regulatory compliance

Additional Responsibilities

  • Complete supervisory and team leader responsibilities in the absence senior team members.
  • Support with complaints and escalations.
  • Promote good working relationships across departments.
  • Support with recruitment and selection of new team members.
  • Any other ad-hoc duties as requested by Manager or Head of Department.

Entry Requirements

Educational Requirements

  • Educated to G.C.S.E Level or above (Maths & English essential).
  • A-Level or Degree level education highly advantageous (but not essential).
  • CIPD Certificate in Training Practice or CIPD L&D Qualifications highly advantageous (but not essential). 

Knowledge Required

  • Extensive Sales Experience.
  • Sales CRM Systems (Salesforce Preferred).
  • Working in a fast-paced telephony environment.
  • Training and coaching.

Skill Set Required

  • Outbound, inbound and cross sell experience ideally within both B2B and B2C environments.
  • Ability to effectively coach, motivate and mentor team members.
  • Ability to set and monitor objectives through to completion.
  • High level of numeracy, accuracy and problem-solving ability.
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to design and roll out classroom training.
