Business New Connections Sales Support Administrator

About The Role

An exciting new role in the New Connections Sales team to help support the Sales drive for new build energy connections across domestic and commercial markets. This is one of the fastest growing areas of the business and we are looking for someone with strong administration skills to join the team and support our Sales leaders on existing and new accounts to provide a positive customer journey from start to finish.

The role initially is to provide help and support to the Sales Team with the process of on-boarding new clients and servicing existing customers with an opportunity to shape and improve the wider administration process.

Longer term it will involve providing regular updates to the wider business about sales activities in the form of forecasting and stakeholder meetings. In addition there will be a requirement to provide regular reporting for key clients and to work with our Debt Management & Complaint Teams on associated cases. This role is challenging and rewarding working in a fast and dynamic environment and requires an excellent motivated individual with good communication and organisational skills.

There is good scope for personal and career development (training will be provided).
What you will do

  • Responsibility for processing new sales into a shared database in a timely manner
  • Responsibility for updating the shared database on a regular basis using provided reports
  • To help manage a transition of sales data from the current systems to Salesforce / Junifer
  • To work on Key accounts with the New Connections BM to provide high levels of customer service – including briefing of requirements, monitoring programmes and customer feedback.
  • Sending out renewal letters to existing fixed customers prior to their contract end date. Verify prices & contract dates submitted by customers are correct and then liaise with Billing & Trading to notify them of the relevant account changes.
  • Monthly/weekly business reporting tasks and monitoring and reporting on Sales commissions to clients.
  • To follow up on internal account requests, which can include account call backs, industry queries and general account maintenance.
  • Phone cover when other members of the New Connections team are unavailable.
  • Provide assistance to other departments for business customer related matters.
  • To complete any reporting or monitoring of workload as requested.
  • Any other ad-hoc duties as requested by Manager.
About You

Successful Candidates will receive full industry training through our department and Academy training programs, however the role and industry can be quite challenging so we do look for all candidates to have a proven academic ability or understanding of a similar industry.

 Knowledge, skills and experience:

  • At Least 5 GCSE’s or equivalent at Grade C or above, Maths and English are essential.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with proven ability to manage customer queries over the telephone.
  • High level of numeracy, accuracy and problem solving ability.
  • Proven computer literacy including Microsoft Office packages.
  • Excellent time management and personal organisational skills.
  • High level of attention to detail.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Some Utility Industry knowledge would be beneficial but not essential.
  • Good level of knowledge of SAP / Salesforce / Junifer or similar software packages is beneficial.
