About The Role

This role is about influencing our teams to improve service whilst also helping us grow our customer base. Using data effectively is key to our future success, and this role will be at the heart of that, making sure our reports, planning and recommendations are accurate, timely and informative.

From a reporting perspective you’ll not only lead on the planning, compilation and production of data and reports, but also the insight and commentary into the data, as well as recommendations leading to improved performance.

From a planning perspective you’ll forecast workload across Ecotricity to ensure we have the correct staffing levels between teams. You’ll create rotas for Service and Operational teams to ensure we are maximising the working hours and reducing our shrinkage.

As part of the team you’ll be a champion for data quality within Ecotricity, managing corrupt data and working with owners of source system data/data engineering to resolve issues and maintain consistency and accuracy.

You’ll work closely with the other members of the Planning & Insight team, providing support and input e.g. customer research, segmentation studies, or competitor / market analysis as required. You’ll also be responsible for the day to day management of the telephony system, New Voice Media. Requests consist of creating licenses, changing phone lines, resetting passwords and lots more. You’ll ensure we stay on top of requests as well as certifying we have the right number of people using the system at one time.

You’ll also carry out any other ad-hoc duties as requested by Team Leader or Manager.

About You

You will be -

  • Tech-savvy working in Data Analytics, MI Reporting or Business Analysis
  • High level of numeracy, accuracy and problem-solving ability
  • Ability to derive and communicate conclusions and recommendations from your analytical results
  • Able to visualise, present and interpret data, and advise on strategies to improve company performance based on results
  • You are comfortable providing clear commentary on data, both in written form and when presenting to an internal audience
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel experience, including complex formulae and VBA
  • Comfortable using a variety of visualisation and analysis tools, which may include SQL and Power BI, with the want to further develop these skills in a role which contributes to the future growth of our business
  • Good level of knowledge of Salesforce or similar software packages is beneficial
  • You’ll have a thorough understanding of the systems and processes used within the energy industry and ideally the specific ones used within our business. Systems such as New Voice Media, Monet, SAP, Salesforce & Ecoes/Xoserve
