£17,100 basic plus Uncapped Commission £28,000 OTE

The Switch Advisor is a key role in the growth team and is responsible for a range of activities focused on just that, growing the business!

Day to day you will talk, email and chat online to people in a range of situations all with a view of growing the Ecotricity business within a friendly but competitive environment. You will get the opportunity to attend events too, ultimately being the voice and face of Ecotricity to people interested in changing the way energy is made.

Core Responsibilities
  • Primarily this role is about offering an exceptional customer experience to new and existing Ecotricity energy customers, in doing so you’ll deliver your individual targets and play a vital part in our overall growth strategy.
  • You’ll manage Inbound enquiries from new customers and Outbound activity targeted at existing and previous customers.
  • Develop a deep understanding of our business and how what we do benefits our customers.
  • Confidently build an understanding of individual customers’ needs and provide solutions based on the products, services and benefits we offer.
  • Maintain an excellent level of quality and compliance in everything you do. 
  • Various standard and ad hoc activities upon manager request. 
About You

You are a successful sales or customer service professional looking to develop into a role where you can use your experience to benefit both new and existing Ecotricity customers and ultimately drive the growth of the business.

You act with integrity, realising it’s not just about the sell, it’s the way you sell, making sure people buy what they want and need.

The detail about you…

Knowledge Required

  • Customer Service or Sales Experience (Contact Centre Preferred).
  • Experience of CRM Systems (Salesforce Preferred).
  • Experience of working in a fast paced telephony environment.
  • Experience of selling over the phone.

Skill Set Required

  • Excellent Written & Verbal Communication Skills.
  • Ability to Engage People.
  • Good Level of Numeracy and Problem Solving Ability.
  • Good Computer Literacy including Microsoft Office Package.
  • Excellent Time Management & Personal Organisational Skills.
  • Accuracy, Tenacity & Integrity.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple deadlines.

Ecotricity is the greenest energy company in Britain. In fact, when we started back in 1995, we were the first green electricity company in the world.

Our mission was and remains to change the way energy is made and used – after introducing green electricity to the world, we introduced green gas to Britain in 2010 too.

Our model is unique: we use our customers’ energy bills to fund the building of new sources of green energy. We like to refer to this as turning ‘bills into mills’ – energy bills into energy mills, whether that’s wind, sun, sea or gasmills.
