About You

A new and exciting opportunity to work within the Energy Saver Plan (ESP) area of the business, as well as Microtricity and the Britwind billing function.

The successful candidate will possess exceptional customer skills and enjoy problem solving. The role itself is in place to help transform the ESP customer journey and to support its customers, as well as supporting Microtricity customers when required. It’s a varied position with plenty of autonomy, and a requirement to deal with a wide customer demographic, from domestic installations to large scale corporate installs, as well as dealing with key stakeholders across the business. It’s a role that possesses great exposure to executive sponsors – a great opportunity for those wanting to progress.   

This department provides substantial training and support to ensure you develop and achieve your professional goals, as well as being an expert in your field. In-turn; you will be providing the best possible service to both internal and external customers.

What you will do…

  • Provide exceptional customer service to both ESP & Microtricity customers through any issues or problems that they may have – over the phone, by email and face-to-face
  • Take ownership and resolve all queries relating to Ecotricity’s operation of the Feed-in Tariff and Energy Saver Plan scheme’s
  • Work with your leader and colleagues to improve the end to end process for ESP.
  • To handle ESP related administrative duties, including but not limited to:
    • ESP bill production
    • Dealing with complex queries in adherence to legal contracts
    • Meter management
    • Process reviewing and updating
    • Processing Home Moves
    • Meter Read Management using half hourly data
    • Customer debt management
    • Support in reviewing and improving cashflow
    • Liaising with third party regulators and affiliates to reach suitable outcomes for both Ecotricity and the customer
  • To handle Microtricity related administrative duties, including but not limited to:
    • Handling other Feed-in Tariff related queries from internal and external customers
    • Handling possible billing queries
  • Liaising with Multi-Site Generators in relation to site or account specific queries
  • Constantly refreshing your knowledge on feed-in tariff and other renewable schemes using the OFGEM guidance

Skill Set Required

  • Excellent verbal and telephony skills.
  • Excellent written communication –emails/letters etc.
  • Exceptional standard of numeracy.
  • Exceptionally high standard of accuracy & attention to detail.
  • Ability to multi task and manage a varied work load.
  • Highly computer literate including in MS Excel and Access
  • Excellent time management & personal organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Strong relationship management with internal and external stakeholders

Specific Knowledge Required:


  • Experience of using customer management CRM systems
  • Experience within a customer service focused environment
  • Experience using Microsoft Office – especially excel


  • Understanding or awareness of the ‘Feed in Tariff’ / Renewable Schemes
  • Experience of Ofgem renewable policies
  • Experience working within a heavily regulated environment
  • Billing with Debt management experience

About Us
Ecotricity is the greenest energy company in Britain. In fact, when we started back in 1995, we were the first green electricity company in the world.

Our mission was and remains to change the way energy is made and used – after introducing green electricity to the world, we introduced green gas to Britain in 2010 too.
