Senior Salesforce Developer

About The Role
We are implementing Salesforce as our new CRM system for around 500 agents, moving to a new Salesforce org for our sales teams and introducing other Salesforce products (including Marketing Cloud). Providing streamlined and excellent customer service, automating our sales journey and utilising statistics and reports to our advantage are fundamental. The initial implementation is live but there are many outstanding and continuous requirements from multiple projects as well as BAU support.
You will be working within a small team of Salesforce administrators and other developers, as well as working closely with Product Owners and Project Managers to develop the business requirements in an agile environment.
As a senior team member you will be willing to share knowledge and experience and to mentor juniors within the team. You will also be required to advise on solution options, and feel comfortable providing regular updates and presenting demos to stakeholders.

Responsibilities
• Advise on solution options to Team Lead and Product Owner
• Develop/Implement the chosen option
• Working on project requirements and BAU support (defects and user queries)
• Collaborating with technical resources from other development teams for cross platform development projects
• Working in an agile environment
• Willing to share knowledge and experience and to mentor juniors within the team
• Comfortable providing regular updates and presenting demos to stakeholders
About You
• Salesforce development experience (specifically APEX triggers, classes, asynchronous apex, REST API, SOAP API, Visualforce and Sites)
• Experience of at least 1 Salesforce implementation
• Experience of Salesforce Lightning would be advantageous
• Salesforce Administrator understanding is desirable
• Understands when to use declarative capabilities vs developed solutions
• Experience of object oriented programming languages
• Experience of web development languages including HTML, CSS, Javascript, jQuery, Web
• Experience using source control and sfdx
• Experience of working in an agile development environment, story pointing and using tools such as jira
• Excellent time management skills & ability to multi task
• Excellent communication skills to update other team and project members and present demos
• Ability to work individually and as part of a team
