Digital Project Manager

About The Role

We are looking for a talented Digital Project Manager to join us in our Bristol Office.

The successful candidate will be be responsible for -

 

Responsibilities

  • Managing the build and continuous delivering of software experiences that delight our customers and staff, from inception to live
  • Working with our Metering Service and Technology teams to continue to improve Ecotricity’s SMART metering capabilities both internally, and for our customers and suppliers.
  • Working in close collaboration with the Product team to define and deliver business requirements.
  • Managing non-software elements of our Digital Transformation including change management and comms both internally and externally
  • Reporting overall project status
  • Management of senior stakeholders through steering committees, programme reviews and status updates.
  • Management of technical stakeholders through agile ceremonies, stand-ups and workshops
  • Ensuring that change is successfully prepared for and adopted, both internally and externally
  • Continuous monitoring of project-related technical debt, working alongside the Product Managers to ensure that sprints have an appropriate mix of new functionality, fixes and on demands changes
  • Researching and implementing Agile tools and techniques while spearheading the continuous improvement of our Agile methodology
About You
Knowledge and skills
  • Mid-weight digital project management experience
  • Product Manager collaboration experience
  • Strong experience in working in collaboration with non-Digital Subject Matter Experts to visualise and define new & improved ways of working.
  • Stakeholder management and facilitation of decisions of all sizes
  • Technical resource management
  • Project planning and tracking
  • Sprint planning and tracking
  • Risk and issue presentation and management
  • Agile project status reporting
  • Agile project estimation using story pointing and velocity reporting
  • Agile quality control methods

 

Requirements

  • Demonstrable experience of having delivered digital products and services
  • Strong Jira project management experience including story pointing and velocity tracking
  • Digital project management experience
  • Attention to detail, methodical approach
  • Experience of managing Full stack and web services technology teams to deliver projects
  • First-rate written and verbal communication
  • Proven personal development, self-management and a desire to deliver meaningful business change
  • Clear and concise relaying of ideas and concepts
  • Experience & confidence in public speaking
  • Ability to work across both Stroud and Bristol office locations


    Advantageous

  • Recent experience in the Energy industry, in particular SMART metering
  • Atlassian ‘Portfolio’ tool experience (Jira, Confluence)
  • Knowledge of sustainability issues and a passion to fix them using technology
