About The Role

The role is an administrative function working within the retail area of the business to assist our customers, internal staff and meter reading agents. The objective of this position is to manage gas and electricity industry data to correct errors and exceptions in an efficient and effective manner whilst providing outstanding customer service to internal and external customers.

The Industry Operations team bridges the gap between the Industry and the customer. Whilst supporting the customer throughout the entire customer journey, the Industry Operations department provides the industry with the information it requires. The team’s work is fast paced, varied and challenging.

Settlement & Data is the management of all industry participant data flow exceptions. This area is made up of two teams, specialising in Electricity and Gas.

The teams deal with query resolution and exception management in relation to the supply of electric and gas to Ecotricity’s customers and making sure we fulfil our licensing conditions so that our customers can be billed accurately. 

Settlement and agent management are key within the Industry Operations Department and the majority of our work is driven from the requirement to maintain or improve settlement. We need to maintain good working relationships with our agents too. A base knowledge of the industry is desirable.

  • Assist with resolving exceptions created by industry interfaces
  • Assist with maintaining customer data held within Ecotricity systems

  • Resolve customer originated queries in given time-scales

  • Resolve in-house originated queries in given time-scales

  • Using Ecosystem along with SAP /CRM to maintain customers’ accounts

  • Using AFMS and Dataflow Management Systems to submit reads and update supply details

  • Assist in Improve Settlement percentage by improving the number of actual meter readings approved by the industry.

  • Contact customers to request up to date meter reads

  • Assist in resolving industry participant queries in a given timescale

  • Identify and report issues with internal processes

About You
  • Ability to liaison with industry participants, industry bodies and external customers

  • Intermediate level of computer literacy with experience of computer systems coupled with Microsoft Office Suite

  • Report writing, letter writing and monitoring ability
