Field Service Technician - Huddersfield

About The Role
We have a fantastic opportunity to join the Britwind team as a Field Service Technician in Huddersfield. The successful candidate will have either a mechanical or electrical background and/or qualification.
On a day to day basis you will-
  • Carry out maintenance and fault find on wind turbines as directed by the operations coordinator.
  • Follow up errors and repair faults to reduce downtime.
  • Perform maintenance to a high standard and according to manufacturers check sheets.
  • Assist the Operations Coordinator to analyse faults and find solutions to reduce downtime.
  • Participate in all HSE training to maintain high level of Safety.
About You
  • Experience with mechanics and electrics
  • Valid driving license
  • Team player, able work in a small team and part of a bigger company
  • Ability to work at heights in remote locations in adverse weather conditions.
  • Ability to climb wind turbines on a daily basis.
  • Prepared to travel for more than 50% of the time.

Knowledge, skills and experience:

  • Experience of maintaining an industrial plant including knowledge of rotating plants would be beneficial
  • Experience with hydraulics would be a benefit but not essential
  • Experience working within the wind power industry would be highly advantageous
  • Experience in using Microsoft Office package
