Sales and Marketing Manager

Location:
Hybrid
Salary Details:
£40,000- £50,000 DoE
About The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for furthering the outward image of the business, developing sales channels, generating leads and closing deals.

Selling primarily through a network of resellers and installers as well as direct to end-users, the holder of this role will be expected to create and maintain a constant pipeline of opportunities using an appropriate CRM system.  Management of existing installer relationships and cultivation of new ones will likely be the primary sales route.  In addition to direct turbine sales, the holder will be expected to innovate alternative revenue streams, such as Power Purchase Agreements, whilst also devising routes to installation for customers who lack the capital funds to invest directly.

Whilst the role is currently focussed on the UK market, expansion into overseas territories is expected and well within scope for evaluation and exploitation.

Responsibilities

  • Leadership of the business sales effort.
  • Identification of target market and active generation of leads, converting them into sales.
  • Creation and management of the sales pipeline.
  • Opening and expanding sales channels to create opportunities.
  • Devising new revenue streams and upselling of product add-ons.
  • Generating revenue through sales, spares, and refurbishments.
  • Ensuring site surveys are completed prior to sale.

Location

The role will be based at Q-Park, Bath Road, South Woodchester, Nr Stroud, GL5 5HT.  However, given the nature of the job, frequent site visits may be necessary and a willingness to travel is required, including some overnight stays, possibly overseas.  Flexible working can also be considered.  Should the need arise to change your working location, you would be expected to move to an alternative site within reasonable commuting distance.

Ecotricity is Britain's greenest energy company. When we started back in 1995, we were the first company in the world to provide a new kind of electricity- the green kind.

Our mission was, and remains, to change the way energy is made and used in Britain- by replacing fossil fuels with clean, renewable energy.

We don't just supply green energy, we use the money from our customers' bills to make it ourselves too- we build windmills and sun parks in Britain. We call this 'bills in to mills'. In 2021, we started work on building two new solar parks, and now, in 2023, we're bringing geothermal energy to our customers' fuel mix, a first in the UK. We're also developing green gas mills which will generate 100% green gas from a source that we will never run out of- grass.

We don't just focus on energy though- we built Electric Highways, Britain's leading network of electric vehicle charging points, we helped Forest Green Rovers become the greenest football club in the world, and, in partnership with RSPB, we launched Britain's greenest mobile phone service, Ecotalk + RSPB.
