Senior Merchandising Manager

Location:
Hybrid
Salary Details:
£45,000 -£60,000 Depending on Experience
About The Role

We make the most sustainable diamonds in the world – created from the sky to protect the earth.

Innovative and awe inspiring, Skydiamond has set a new standard in this a fast-moving category, by alchemising the air we breathe into light-splintering certified diamonds. Created through radical carbon-capture technology right here in Britain, our diamonds are negative emission by design, not offsetting.

Using only four ingredients from the sky; Wind and Solar power, harvested rainwater and atmospheric carbon, our next-generation Skydiamonds are identical to the traditional land-mined diamonds, but man-made in harmony with nature.

This blue-sky thinking was the ingenuity of entrepreneur and environmentalist Dale Vince OBE, Founder of the Green Britain Group.  The founding philosophy of the Green Britain group is to challenge, disrupt and create solutions to real environmental problems. Skydiamond was another world-first for Dale Vince, born out of a search to remove carbon from the atmosphere and after 5 years of development has achieved a new patented technology alongside several of his other Eco business interests.

The diamond industry is at a tipping point and Skydiamond are the change-makers. We have already appeared in collaborations with legendary names such as Steven Webster and Gucci Vault, and around the neck of brand ambassador, green queen and super model, Lily Cole.

This unusual integration of being a diamond manufacturer and a jewellery brand, means that this merchandising role is pivotal to the success of the total business and will own the entire merchandising remit and execution.

Reporting to our CEO, our new Merchandiser will work closely with stakeholders across the business to optimise inventory flow, planning, forecasting and ultimately drive increased sales and revenue.

This will be achieved by improving sales through eCommerce, retail and wholesale through effective planning and trading strategies, working with design and production teams to improve range planning and re-orders, and acting as a key stakeholder between merchandising, marketing, design and finance.

The perfect candidate will come from an in-house role within a luxury apparel or accessories brand and ideally, a jewellery brand or gemstone business.
