Senior Manager – B2B Marketing

About The Role

We are looking for a Senior B2B Marketing Manager to join our rapidly expanding and award winning B2B Sales & Marketing team.

 The Senior B2B Marketing Manager’s primary responsibility will be to lead the development and execution of comprehensive marketing strategies tailored specifically to engage and convert B2B customers looking for a deep green energy product within the renewable energy and sustainability sectors. 

The Senior B2B Marketing Manager will be responsible for crafting compelling campaigns, building strong partnerships and leveraging digital channels to enhance Ecotricity's brand presence in the commercial energy market.

 

What you will do: 

  • Strategy Development - Formulate a comprehensive B2B marketing strategy aligned with Ecotricity's business objectives and brand values.
  • Campaign Management - Plan, execute, and optimise multi-channel marketing campaigns targeting B2B audiences, utilising tactics such as email marketing, social media and content marketing.
  • Content Creation - Oversee the creation of high-quality marketing collateral, including whitepapers, case studies, blogs, and sales materials, to effectively communicate Ecotricity's value proposition to B2B customers.
  • Lead Generation - Drive lead generation initiatives through targeted outreach and strategic partnerships.
  • Partnership Development - Identify and establish partnerships with industry organisations, associations, and influencers to amplify Ecotricity's visibility and credibility within the B2B market.
  • Data Analysis - Utilise data-driven insights and metrics to measure campaign performance, track KPIs, and continuously optimise marketing strategies for maximum impact and ROI.
  • Performance reporting – Lead the development of marketing performance metrics for the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and Board as part of performance reporting.
  • Team Leadership - Provide mentorship, guidance, and leadership to the B2B marketing team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture focused on driving results.
  • Event Management - Oversee all aspects of event planning and execution.
  • Market Research – Work closely with the Strategy Manager and Senior Sales Manager, keeping informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics to identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation in Ecotricity's B2B marketing efforts.
  • Digital Marketing – Lead on the digital marketing strategy for B2B, including SEO, SEM, email marketing and content marketing.
  • Bid Writing and Proposal Management - Take the lead in coordinating and overseeing the bid writing process for Ecotricity's B2B contracts and tenders.
  • Any ad-hoc tasks as requested by the Head of B2B Sales & Marketing

Educational Requirements:
 
  • Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field (preferred but not essential).

 

Knowledge Required:

  • A deep understanding of marketing principles, including segmentation, targeting, positioning, and competitive analysis.
  • Proficiency in various B2B marketing tactics, including account-based marketing (ABM), lead generation, and nurturing strategies.

 

Skill Set Required:

  • Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and implement long-term marketing strategies.
  • Experience in leading and mentoring a team of marketers to drive results.
  • Understanding of B2B market dynamics, trends, and challenges.
  • Proficiency in analysing marketing data to derive insights and optimise performance.
  • Cultivate partnerships and maintain strong relationships with key strategic stakeholders.
  • Very strong commercial acumen.
  • Ability to develop relationships and leverage added value from them.
  • Very high level of numeracy and problem-solving ability.
