This is an excellent opportunity to join the Media & Comms team at an ambitious, fast-growing and truly unique Football Club.  We are looking for someone to deliver our day-to-day marketing activities across the club. Working within a small team to engage with supporters, partners and new audiences.

From planning and producing original content, to supporting on Matchdays, your creativity will help us continue our unique journey as the World’s Greenest Football Club.

 

For this role, your key responsibilities will be:

  • Develop and publish content across Club channels, including video, social and written formats.
  • Manage campaigns from concept to delivery, including scheduled social media posts
  • Work closely with the Commercial team and club Partners, to ensure sponsorship requirements are not only met, but exceeded.
  • Provide Matchday coverage, help capturing the energy and atmosphere here at The New Lawn for our global audience.
  • Deliver social videos, capturing mobile video, making sure brand requirements are met and ensuring they are tailored to each platform’s specific needs.
  • Provide media support, including capturing photos, videos and publishing content,for partner events and tournaments throughout the season.
  • Be a key part of the team and help support to ensure all coverage is delivered to an exceptional standard
  • Provide Matchday support at home games
  • Provide additional support at away games when required to do so.
  • Work closely with the Commercial team to develop, create and publish content for partners
  • Provide support to help deliver special matchday activities, themes and events at The New Lawn
  • Provide additional support and exposure for club activities across all key departments.
  • Provide support to the team and help Ensure matchday coverage is delivered to an exceptional standard (kept this in as it provides useful coverage)

About You

 The ideal candidate will:

  • Have good communications skills and able to work within the small FGR Team
  • Work off your own initiative, be creative and bring your own ideas
  • A willingness to learn new skills and techniques, always looking to improve how things are done.
  • Experience of video editing software would be advantageous
  • Capable of creating a brief and planning & co-ordinating events
  • Ability to work with strong personalities in a high-pressure environment
  • Friendly and outgoing personality
  • Degree or equivalent level education in marketing, social media, or related subject would be advantageous
  • Experience working in and around sports is advantageous
  • The ability to be organised and self-prioritise work
  • Attention to detail is essential
  • Somebody who is passionate about their work
  • A willingness to learn about the club’s commitment to sustainability, equality, diversity and inclusion.
  • Available to work evenings, weekends and public holidays, to cover matchday fixtures and events.

  • Opportunity for extensive formal and on the job training
  • This role is subject to a background check and DBS check, prior to employment commencing.
  • You must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, Excel & Teams
  • A full driving license is required.
  • A high degree of flexibility is needed to work around the busy football calendar
