FGR Community is committed to reducing barriers to participation and creating opportunities for everyone to get active. As Disability Football Officer, you will play a key role in engaging children and young people with disabilities through football and physical activity.
You will lead on delivering inclusive football sessions in schools and community settings, develop disability-focused programmes and events, and work with partners to ensure every participant has a safe, positive and enjoyable experience. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about inclusion, has strong communication skills, and wants to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people.
Main Objectives:
Session Support
- Delivery of high-quality, inclusive football and physical activity sessions in schools, community settings, and at events.
- Adapt activities to meet the needs of individual participants.
- Encourage a safe, positive, and enjoyable experience for all.
Community Engagement
- Be an ambassador for FGR Community by promoting inclusion and teamwork.
- Help build positive relationships with participants, parents, schools, and community groups.
Events & Matchdays
- Support the delivery of disability football festivals, tournaments, and matchday experiences.
- Assist in ensuring events run smoothly, safely, and inclusively.
Safeguarding & Administration
- Follow safeguarding procedures at all times and raise concerns where appropriate.
- Help with basic tasks such as equipment set-up, registers, and general session organisation.
- Collaborate within the broader organisation and perform tasks as needed to ensure the realisation of the organisation's strategic goals.
Role Requirements
- This role is subject to full DBS Disclosure certification checks.
- Evening and weekend work where required.
- Full UK driving licence.
