Cyber Security Manager

About The Role

As the Cyber Security Manager, you will be responsible for the safeguarding of Ecotricity’s digital assets, data, and IT infrastructure from potential cyber threats. You will oversee the development and implementation of robust security protocols and ensure the company complies with various industry standards.


You will need to work closely with Ecotricity’s IT teams, network administrators, and upper management to identify potential vulnerabilities, address current security risks, and respond swiftly to events.

 

Key Responsibilities

    • Administering the assessment of the IT estate.
    • Managing security incidents and events.
    • Manage a team of cyber security engineers.
    • Identify and remediate security vulnerabilities.
    • Enhancing Ecotricity's cyber security posture through an evolving energy market.
    • Maintain industry compliance.

About You

Experience Required: 

    • Solid experience in a lead IT security role.
    • Holds technical qualifications such as CISM, CISSP, CCSP, GICSP.
    • Ability to communicate technical risks to a range of audiences.
    • Experience with:
      • SIEM/SOC.
      • RMM/XDR/EDR, and vulnerability scanning platforms.
      • Cloud security.
      • CNAPP.
      • Cyber Essentials, ISO27001, or NIST frameworks.
      • Patch/vulnerability management governance.
      • Threat detection and analysis.
      • Network Security.

 

Desirable

    • Relevant industry experience.
    • Experience delivering or auditing compliance frameworks.
    • Exposure to BCP/DR and tabletop exercises.
    • Ability to prioritise workloads and incidents.
    • Knowledge of computer forensics.
